BIG LOADS. SMALL LOADS. FRESH STARTS. Bethlehem & the Lehigh Valley, PA

FROM “THAT NEEDS TO GO” TO A PICKUP PLAN

How junk removal works.
A clearer space.

Junk removal starts with a few useful details. Here’s how to plan a furniture pickup, appliance removal, or cleanout with Lehigh LoadOut in Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley.

01 / TELL US WHAT NEEDS TO GO

Start with the stuff. And the town.

Make a rough list of the items you want removed and share your town or ZIP code. “One sofa and two chairs in Bethlehem” is a useful starting point. For a larger cleanout, describe the rooms involved and how full they are.

Include approximate quantities, large dimensions if you know them, and anything unusually heavy. Photos can help show the scale when you email us. You don’t need to sort your project into a truck-size category before reaching out.

Explore our junk removal services for item-specific details, and check the service area before planning around a pickup. Availability is confirmed for your exact location.

02 / WORK THROUGH THE PRACTICAL DETAILS

The way out matters, too.

Tell us where the items are now: basement, upstairs room, garage, apartment, or another part of the property. Note stairs, narrow doorways, elevator access, and the distance to a place where a vehicle can safely load.

  • Floor level and stair count
  • Parking or loading restrictions
  • Building access rules
  • Doorways or tight turns

Flag appliances, electronics, construction debris, and other items that may need a different handling or disposal plan. Hazardous materials and unknown liquids don’t belong in a standard junk load. Discuss questionable items before moving or combining them with the rest.

For appliances, confirm any required disconnection or preparation before pickup. Don’t disconnect gas, electrical, plumbing, or refrigerant systems yourself as part of getting a quote.

03 / AGREE ON THE PLAN

Confirm the scope, quote, and date.

Once the project is understood, discuss the price and pickup availability. Ask which items and work the quote covers, whether anything still needs to be assessed, and how a change to the load would be handled.

Your preferred day helps with planning, but it isn’t a booking. Confirm the pickup date and any arrival arrangements directly with Lehigh LoadOut. Mention a move-out deadline or building access window early so it can be considered.

Read what goes into junk removal pricing before you decide. A request opens the conversation; the agreed details are what establish the pickup plan.

04 / GET READY FOR THE AGREED PICKUP

Make it clear what stays and what goes.

Set aside documents, keepsakes, keys, and other items you want to keep. Label or separate the removal items where practical, and make sure the person coordinating the pickup can identify the agreed load.

Keep a clear route through the property if it is safe to do so. Keep children and pets away from the loading path, and arrange any needed building access with the property manager. There’s no need to move a heavy piece downstairs or outside to start your request; discuss its current location first.

If there are additional items, a blocked route, a change in parking, or a timing problem, get in touch before the pickup. Review how the change affects the scope, price, and scheduling before proceeding.

A QUICK CHECK BEFORE PICKUP

Same list. Same plan.

Before work begins, review the items and the agreed scope together. Point out anything nearby that must stay. If something looks different from the original request, ask about it before loading.

Have a detail that doesn’t fit the checklist?

A difficult staircase, a shared driveway, a single awkward item: those are useful things to bring up. Start with a conversation about your particular space.
