THE START OF A FRESH START

Every load
has a story.

  • 01 Your items
  • 02 Your pickup location
  • 03 Your access details

Let’s work out the next step.

WHAT GOES INTO THE CONVERSATION

Four details.
A better starting point.

We don’t list a flat online price for an unknown load. These details help us understand what your removal involves.

01

What needs to go

A sofa, several appliances and a room of mixed belongings are different jobs. List the main items, quantities and approximate dimensions of bulky pieces. For bags or boxes, describe the contents as well as the count.

02

Where it is now

Items in a garage near the driveway present a different access plan from furniture in an upstairs apartment. Mention flights of stairs, elevators, narrow doors, long carries and the distance to a safe loading spot.

03

What needs extra discussion

Very heavy objects, built-in items, electronics, construction debris and appliances containing refrigerant can require different handling. Identify them separately so acceptance, preparation and any related charges can be discussed.

04

The full pickup plan

Share the pickup town, the areas being cleared and any building access restrictions. If you have more than one pile or need to add items, include that in the conversation so the quote reflects the full agreed job.

COMPARE THE SCOPE, TOO

What does your quote cover?

When discussing a quote, make sure everyone is describing the same pickup. A list of approved items and a clear access plan are more useful than a price without context.

  • The items: which pieces, piles or rooms are included, and which are staying.
  • The work: where the items are collected from and whether disassembly or other preparation needs separate agreement.
  • The total: any applicable minimum charge, special handling, disposal or travel costs.
  • The next step: how the quote is confirmed, the available pickup date and what happens if the scope changes.

A photo can help explain a job, but it may not show hidden contents, weight or tight access. Tell us about anything the picture leaves out. Contact us before pickup if the item list changes so we can discuss the effect on the plan and price.

ONE PIECE OR A WHOLE SPACE

Start with the job you have.

A couch or a few pieces of furniture

For a furniture request, describe each piece and its location. A sectional’s separate pieces, a sleeper mechanism or a narrow stair turn can matter as much as the number of items. Our furniture removal guide explains what to share.

A garage, basement or larger cleanout

For a cleanout, show each area and identify the large or unusual items within it. Separate what stays from what goes before estimating the scope. The property cleanout guide helps you organize a larger request.

An appliance or mixed household load

Give the appliance type and whether it is connected or built in. For mixed clutter, describe the materials instead of calling everything “bags of junk.” See our appliance and general junk removal guides for the details that help.

Still sorting things out?

You don’t need a perfect inventory to start a conversation. Share what you know, explain what is uncertain and ask what else would help.
